Real Steel

“Courage is stronger than steel” is what Levy is trying to pull out in his new movie, Real Steel. Real Steel sets in the future, where human boxing is illegal and is replaced with robots. Director ShawnLevy tries to show that he can go beyond such fantasy, while Hugh Jackman is looking to prove that he can do big even without his Wolverine claws on.

A Rocky-like storyline of a father and a former boxer, Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman), who finds himself in reluctance after his ex-girlfriend died, has only one last shot for a come back in the ring. Kenton teams up with his 11-year-old son, Max (Dakota Goyo), to build and train a perfect contender - a 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robot! Both shared their dreams in the robot gladiator. And it’s really exciting to see robots bout in underground fight clubs. The movie’s so worth waiting, even LOST’s Evangeline Lily takes part in this movie as Kenton’s friend, just after she announced retirement from the movie industry.

Indeed, we’ve seen robot movies in the theater, some fighting ones, are the hands of Levy will make that much of a difference?“Look, if you’re making a robot movie in 2011 you are conscious of Transformers, the Terminatorfilms, even Iron Manin a way, and the mechanics of the characters on screen and the way they look and move. We are presenting and there is a lot of separation, so you can always see into the robots and gets a sense of the internal mechanics”, explains Levy.
